Was it proven that some of the Companions(R), asked the Prophet, about the متشابه (verse that doesn’t declare a clear cut law) and صفاة (verses which includes the adjectives of Allah), and the Prophet (PBUH) responded to him or not, and whether the Prophet(PBUH) postponed it for one special day in the presence of his companions ?

Ibrahim Saleh Al-Husseini: This is a good question. This is our doctrine that the Messenger (PBUH) reads the verses of صفاتadjectives of God’ and always recites the verses of the Qur’an and always studies Hadiths without giving much explanations about its law and its structure, because the faith of the Companions and their knowledge of the Arabic language and their knowledge of metaphors was to the extent that they didn’t need to ask about the المتشابه. The Companions did not ask the Messenger of God (PBUH), about the متشابه  and the Messenger (PBUH) also did not answer his companions about something that they did not ask him about, it wasn’t a risky matter to them. We warn every Muslim that delving into متشابه is a forbidden matter. While reciting the متشابه verse in order to know them and to know the ruling on its recitation and the ruling on its validity is something required, did you get me?

But the Messenger did say nothing on this matter, and I referred this in the first section of book 'التكفير', and likewise in ‘Al-Kafi’. I indicated it when I spoke about the belief. I explained prophet didn’t spend any day in these things, but when the time has gone, people delved into it and they wrote a lot of books in it, they wrote a lot, the intention and purpose of it is to convert Muslims from their original beliefs to a new belief, so here every Muslim has a duty to do what he can offer to protect the nation and protect the essence of faith from these intruders.
