What is the ruling of Islam on cloning, and on hiring a woman for childbirth like what happens in the western world? The womb is rented, for example, for thirty dollars, is it permissible in Islam or not?

Answers

Ibrahim Saleh Al-Husseini: In short, this is not permissible, because these customs originated in non-Islamic societies; Muslims have their customs stemming from a religion, as for the fact that a woman rents out her womb is a matter that it is a warn and an affront to human dignity, so, it’s not permissible. Whether it is rented for three dollars, three hundred or thirty thousand, it is forbidden.

Cloning is, of course, is a kind of disaster that all human beings must avoid because these people want to doubt that whether God created man by his power and will or not. In fact, even in this cloning, they will not be able to clone a human being without a human being, the cell which they took and clone a human or animal from it, it is originally a cell which is created by God. For this reason, any attempts by man over God will be a disaster for them, Insha Allah. So, taking egg and inserting it to the uterus is counted like as adultery, and so it’s forbidden too. So, cloning is not permissible, because it’s immoral and out of morals’ border.
